In order to enhance transparency and integrity of Annual and Extraordinary General Meetings, the Listing Requirement of Stock Exchange requires an independent scrutineer to be appointed to validate the votes cast at the general meetings.
The scrutineer must not be an officer of the listed issuer or its related corporation, and must be independent of the person undertaking the polling process.
